My love in airplanes
Nowadays,travelling with planes is a very common thing,people's passion of airplanes when they were invented quickly become frustration,endlessly delay and missing the flight makes people become more and more dislike planes,or at least,thinks it's just a usual thing to do.
I'm not going to talk about why I love airplanes right away,instead,let's go back to the time when airplanes were still thousands of years away from been invented,when the only people can travel is by their feet.Back in that time,travelling wasn't an hourly or daily thing,it was something that took people their entire life time to do,when people finally arrived at their destination,normally they won't leave again.For thousands of years,our top speed on land remained the same,until one day,something called"wheel"was invented,but it was simply a piece of plank on two logs,so our speed on land was still very limited.Then,when we began to explore the ocean,we traveled much faster,we connected six continents,and for the first time created the map of the whole world.Now,if we fast forward out timeline to just around 200 years ago,practically just yesterday on the timeline of human history,travelling through the air seem no closer to become a reality,until we invented a machine that redefine"speed",when we put the steam engine on wheels,our life really began to accelerate,but most long distance trips were still very inconvenient,then,less than a hundred year after we connected an engine to wheels,we made a breakthrough that left the obstacle of the earth behind.Airplanes liberated us from the ground,we didn't know that at the time,but that moment we took to the skies,marked the beginning of a revolution.In just a flicker of time,life on Earth changed forever,in a single century,aviation went from impossible to nearly perfected.
Knowing the history of airplanes,we can see that the creation of airplane was a miracle,even though for some people it seems the golden age of planes has long gone,but on the other hand,every era is a golden age,it's just the different of perspective.To me,flying is still exciting nowadays,every takeoff and landing is a new experience,the view in the sky is also magnificent,it's a shame that for most of the time when we close the window shades,we miss the most beautiful view of the earth and sky.
If you dig deep into the mechanics inside the airplane,you will find that it's very complicated but also interesting,they don't just look cool,there are so many complicated mathematics behind their designs.
I take pictures every time when I'm on an airplane,not only because it indicates another journey,but it also shows I'm on a magnificent machine,it is airplane.
